The City of Cynthiana was established in 1793 along the banks of the South Fork of the Licking River. Cynthiana is located in the “golden triangle”, 28 miles from Lexington, 90 miles from Louisville, and 60 miles from Cincinnati, and has served for many years as the hub of commerce, education, and government for Harrison County and surrounding communities.

Aug 2 - True Classic Car Club
host a Cruise on the first Saturday of each summer month through October.
Spectators welcome. Cruise in begins 6:00 to dusk. Sales of hot dogs,
hamburgers, popcorn, sno - cones. Proceeds got to local church youth
groups

Aug 16 - On Saturday,
August 16 at the Harrison County Fairgrounds, the St. Edward Alumni
Association will sponsor a horse pull at 4 pm, a truck pull at 7 pm and
draw a winner for a $10,000 raffle at 8:30 pm. Food and drink are

Wedco District Health Department offers a meeting at the Harrison County
Health Center Community Room, (park in back) on the 3rd Tuesday of each

Historical Society meets the third Thursday of each month (except
December) at 7:00PM at the Cynthiana-Harrison County Public Library
community room. The public is invited to attend. Membership in the society
